Supporting Biochemistry & Biophysics

Philanthropy to Biochemistry & Biophysics strengthens the program in many ways, and we invite you to consider partnering with us in "revealing how life works" by giving to one of our existing funds or to endow named graduate fellowships, undergraduate scholarships, or faculty positions.

To make a contribution today to support a continued strong OSU Biochemistry & Biophysics Department, visit the OSU Foundation website. Use the "Other amount" entry area and please make sure to list your gift as Biochemistry & Biophysics Unrestricted (or another specific fund) in the "Other Designation" line under "Giving Information."

  • Gifts to our "Unrestricted Fund" give us maximal flexiblitly in using the funds to strengthen our program at all levels.
  • Gifts to the "Graduate Fund" allow us to support additional graduate students and expand the scope, breadth and strength of program so as to leverage greater external grant support.
  • Gifts to the "Undergraduate Fund" supports the purchase of modern instruments for our teaching laboratories, awards for our outstanding students, the BB club that enriches the undergraduate experience of our majors, and scholarships for undergraduate research.
  • Gifts to the "Research Fund" support directly support our faculty's research efforts into revealing how life works. These gifts can be designated toward specific target areas such as cancer, heart disease, ALS, etc.
  • Also, interested individual donors or groups of donors can choose to endow a named graduate fellowship, undergraduate scholarship, or faculty position to honor a family member and make a longer-term impact.

We welcome the opportunity to work with donors to identify the vehicles that work best for their family while having the greatest impact for students and for research in Biochemistry & Biophysics. Please contact the department Chair or our OSU Foundation representative Anne Ruggiero.

Thank you!
