What do I do if a required class I want to register for is full?

Whenever you encounter a full class that is required for your major, you should always

  1. Get on the waitinglist
  2. Keep checking online for class openings DAILY. If you find an opening, go for it.
  3. If you're not in the class by the first day, attend anyway, and speak with the Professor.
What do I do if I need an override?

Have you completed all required prerequisites?  If so:

Send an e-mail to the professor with the following information:

  • Your full name
  • Your OSU ID #
  • The CRN for the course
  • Why you need a prerequisite

If you don't include all of the above information, we can not issue the override. If the professor approves the override, they will forward the e-mail to the BB Office. You will be notified via e-mail once your override has been completed. Once you have received the email you will need to register for the class.
